Just what I never knew I needed.. love it!

I received this lamp as a gift and boy was I surprised. I thought it was a bowling ball. That's how heavy it was. Mine came in good condition no chips or cracks. The light it came with was halogen. It really warms the lamp up as it's supposed to when turned up. Even at a low level the lamp heats up. I've recently seen lamps in stores that were turned up and not that bright and were actually cold to the touch, negating the effect of the lamp besides being a visual piece in your home or office. I was suprised to see how exspensive these lamps actually are but the less exspensive ones also are smaller and use LED or candescent lighting. My mother in law bought this for me and she loved it so much when she came over that we bought her one for her birthday.
Also I just thought of this, ever since I've had this lamp I no longer get my yearly pneumonia coincidence maybe but I like what I've experienced for the last year or so.
